THE BEST TIME I HAD......

It was in the year 1996 when I came down to Hyderabad from Vijayawada. Dad was working here and so we had to shift over to this place. I detested the very idea of moving away from the place where I had spend the blissful years of my life and I was closely related to that place.. It wasn’t easy to forget the 7 years of my childhood spent in vijayawada.-.my school, my best friends, my grandparents, and many other things that would make me miss tht place like hell.
I had completed my 4th by the time we left tht place.. I was so adamant not to come here that I showed my displeasure at every school I went to take a look for further admission, in hyderabad , coz its gets really difficult for me to get accustomed in a new place, new school with many new people –new environment. Usually many people like getting into a new place and meeting new people but it scares the hell out of me. I got admissions in many schools here but I took a fancy to the JHPS aka JUBILEE HILLS PUBLIC SCHOOL coz I felt at home here for various reasons. It gave me the feel of the old school, because the uniform of this school was the same as Vijayawada’s and the principal at that time Mr. Thomas Kappen, happened to be associated with the Montfort Brothers, which was organization St. Matthews belonged to, his very presence there made this school like home to me.

I joined this school in my 5th.I found many nice people here, and I found many of my old school friends too. This was a huge relief tht made me get settled down very comfortably. Intrinsically, I am considered to be pretty good at taking part and winning various competitions like elocutions, recitations, debate, dancing and singing. .I was applauded for my achievements in such activities than compared to my “achievements” in studies. The reason behind keeping achievements in quotations is to tell u guys tht I am not very brilliant at studies. In JHPS too I was lionized coz of such activities. I and my other close friends had formed a group which was well known for all the singing and dance competitions. So this group of abt 8 ppl had a presentation in every program conducted in the school and by the school too. We had great fun during these events both pre event and post event. Pre events because its was exciting to skip boring classes of history or maths and compose and rehearse for our exposition. And post events because it was a proud feeling for all of us to receive wonderful compliments. This school also taught me leadership qualities and sportsman ship(well this was an area I never tried my hand at) .I had spent a real pleasant school life. Years rolled by and soon I realised that I had to leave school after the 10th. It was a sinking feeling when I realized tht it was time to bid adieu to this alma mater. It was somehow arduous for me continue my life without my school friends, school uniform, P.T classes, art classes and many more tht won’t remain any more. Because now ,as I am told tht its time to “mould and concentrate on my career.”But that’s life I guess, we have to move on, and so we did, all of us parted ways and took to studying further in different colleges. This was the end of the GOLDEN ERA,nonetheless stepping into a world of responsibilty. Today when I look back on those years at school, I have a smile on my face and I have no regrets. I am content tht I had lots of fun and spent my school life in the best way possible.

Today I realize tht school life is the most vital and the luxurious part of our lives as we don’t have to face any pressures. There was a time when I wanted to be big and independent because I used to think tht then no one would ever interfere in my life and I could do anything tht I wanted to, but today I want to go back to school, get pampered, rehearse for programs…….Alas !!tht time has never waited for anyone ever, I am no exception, but the school will always have a place in my heart and the friends made during the school life are the best ever, u can always rely on then coz they were our friends in the days on innocence………

I hope each one of you reading this article had the best schooling ever.
